The Creative Self-Expression Show offers high school students across the country an opportunity to submit their artwork in local and national exhibits in an effort to foster self esteem, and stimulate the creative growth and development of each student. We are passionate about recognizing and developing creativity in young people through philanthropic efforts to raise awareness of the importance of creativity and the arts in the educational and developmental process.
Each year students are nationally recognized and awarded scholarship money for demonstrating outstanding creativity and talent. This window into their minds has been a fascinating glimpse of how our youth (our future) sees the world. In addition to student participation, we also encourage involvement on behalf of parents, teachers and area schools.
The Creative Self-Expression Show, which began in 1995, got a tremendous boost in 2005 when Jane Seymour became the National Spokesperson for our program.
Ms. Seymour is very active in her role as Spokesperson. As a member on the panel of judges, she takes time to review and judge all art submitted to the National Competition. She also attends the awards ceremony each year, spending time with the winners and giving each of them the opportunity to meet her in person and share with her the inspiration behind their winning art.
Jane Seymour’s connection with this program is a natural fit as she is very passionate in creating her own nationally acclaimed art and sharing her techniques with the students. As a mother of six children and two stepchildren, Ms. Seymour became involved with art about 18 years ago when she began painting to relax and found it to be an avenue for her own expression. Her passion for art has led her to become more involved as an advocate for children to encourage them to express themselves through art and creativity.
Local schools and students are invited to contact their local The Great Frame Up for an opportunity to participate in this contest.
